💉 ZOLADEX 💉 Today is my 5th cycle of chemo! Which means, today is a BIG day of chemo sesh and usually the first week of the new cycle of chemo adalah sesh yg agak lama (6hours) Sebab dia akan bagi lebih kurang 3 bags of chemo medicine and 1 bag of Immunotherapy medicine through an IV line. But today, we are going to talk about ZOLADEX. If you’re not great with needles, I would suggest you look away as this one is a doozy 🫣😖 I remember my first Zoladex injection back in July 2021. The oncology nurses came into my room (there’s no private space or room at all. I did my previous treatments with a public hospital 😅 but I laffff it cos I’ve met a lot of cancer patients and we always shared new things to help each other out and go through this process as easier as we can … tbh I miss that kind of environment though 🥺) Oh yeah, back to my story now! Haha 😂 Well, the first thing she said “you might not want to look”, I thought “ Hun, I’ve just done 10 rounds of the Zoladex before and heaps of cannula have been poked into my arms since the last 2 years. I’ve got this!” Oh, how wrong I was. Recently, my body has become more sensitive and weaker. I don’t think I moved for about 15- 30mins after I got this shot 😂 (Dia mcm sakit tu Kat dalaman tau..macam ada orang ambik pisau or something sharp and stab kita, haaa mcm tu la rasa dia senang cite) Since I did my chemo treatment in a private hospital, they always make sure to put the numbing cream half an hour before they start to jab me. So, I can honestly say it does get easier 😁 in case you’re wondering, this GIANT JAB is a hormone suppressant (turns off or puts my ovaries into sleep) For young cancer patients, who still want to have families and children in the future, korang boleh request benda ni Kat oncologist korang. Your body, your choice okay. Jangan diam and tak nak tanya pasal benda2 ni. Siapa je dalam dunia ni tak nak ada anak kan 🥺. Basically all chemo drugs are poisonous, so they are literally going to kill all the good cells and bad cells. So protect whatever you can protect👌 #cancer #cancerfightersunite#cancerawarenessn#npcc#cancerstage4z#zoladexh#hotflashess#stjohnofgodberwickhospitalmelbourne #fyp #
