What’s sad is…I am disabled and can’t work, none of my children call me. (They are busy with their own lives). Single for years. NO ONE WOULD KNOW if I were to die. 😢

I’ve called in a wellness check for someone on my route, she checked her mailbox every day and it was 3 days without being emptied. Thankfully she was in the hospital with a scheduled surgery

May he rest in peace I kind of know what you’re feeling. I have a neighbor that needs to get up at five in the morning at clockwork to go to water her yard or do something in the yard, but she hadn’t been doing it for a few days. Everybody kept saying oh her son came and picked her up and took her somewhere but all of a sudden I kept hearing cats you know how the cat sound like it’s human people unfortunately it wasn’t cats. It was her crying out for help. She had a stroke in her kitchen. My husband and I were going to the store and I told him I don’t see her outside. I’m going to her house when we get back he said OK a week has already passed so on our way home from the store the ambulance center thing was there. The mailman found her and the only reason the mailman founder was because also he hurt cats so he thought a cat was stuck and he went to the backyard to go help find out it wasn’t a cat was her. I took her to the hospital unfortunately, she died three days later from the stroke when you notice something no matter what it is go check on them. You don’t have to let them know you’re checking on them. Just ask him a simple question about a flower or about something in their yard or that way they won’t say oh what are you checking on me before you don’t need to be checking on me I can take care of myself cause some people don’t like being checked on and some people do I promised myself never again if I notice something, I’m going to go knock at their door. Better be safe than sorry but those damn cats sounded like a human. I should’ve put two and two together cause she don’t have cats make she rest in peace. I felt guilty for a long time and that’s alone. It’s an ugly feeling.
