My Uncle JB Wootten was at Tarawa. It was his first day of combat and he was the lone survivor of his unit. He went on to serve in Korea and also during the Vietnam war. Career Marune. GySgt Wootten.

Back in the days I’d have been scared of marines but when I was in fort Lee Virginia and they had a school there and they were all small!! We asked if they forgot to get issues shoulders. Love you guy
