I turn 44 in 2 months and this has been weighing on my mind. I get messages everyday from women struggling to love the changes our bodies go through as we age..we see women using filters on social media and we forget what real skin looks like…it actually moves and has texture! Here is my reminder to you. ‼️Despite what we’ve been told👇🏼 Wrinkles are NORMAL Sun spots are NORMAL Pores are NORMAL Pigment is NORMAL Movement is NORMAL ➡️Judging and criticizing of ourselves and others is learned This is my 43 year old skin. It’s been through good times and hard times…but it’s mine. I’m learning to love it and age gratefully and gracefully and I hope you are too. 🫶🏻This is your reminder that it isn’t about “anti-aging” instead it’s about “pro-aging.” When we stop resisting growing older and instead embrace the changes and start accepting ourselves as we are, not as we once were we can learn to love ourselves unconditionally and grow older gracefully.
