Indian and Pakistani troops exchanged fire along the Line of Control in Kashmir for a third consecutive night, following India’s accusation that Pakistan supported the recent Pahalgam attack, an allegation Pakistan denies.  A massive explosion at Iran’s Shahid Rajaee port left at least 25 people deceased and injured 800, as state media reported the blast began after a fire spread to containers storing flammable materials; authorities have ordered an investigation. Russian security forces detained a man identified as Ukrainian agent Ignat Kuzin, accused of carrying out a car bomb attack that left General Yaroslav Moskalik deceased near Moscow, with the FSB alleging the device was remotely detonated from Ukraine; Ukraine has not commented.  Russia’s military claims to have regained full control of the Kursk region, with army chief Valery Gerasimov announcing the recapture of the last Ukrainian-held village and praising North Korean troops’ assistance, while Ukraine denies the claim and asserts its forces remain active.  Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo agreed to draft a peace deal by May 2nd, pledging to respect each other’s sovereignty and end military support to armed groups, following a U.S.-brokered meeting in Washington where tensions remained visible. 🗓️ April 27, 2025
