Credit checks can be ran on those who will be working directly with finances but should only be run after you accept an offer! We run them on our cfo position only

most of this is probably true, but i’m in the banking industry and it’s standard procedure to perform a credit check. once you’ve received an offer, of course.

In Germany, some banks do it. But they do not need your bank information to do so, they only need your permission, your name, date of birth, and adress.

Almost happened to me the exact way - wasn’t Amazon but some other company and then they were like do the background check and credit check and click these links and I knew immediately 🚩
