at my catholic school we literally toured a synagogue and a mosque to see how other religions practice… my friends who went to protestant schools did NOT do that 🤔

Most catholics I know don’t believe in god anymore, they still identify as catholic. It’s more than a faith, it’s a sub culture and it is about community within that sub culture

the thing too is that there is a two year process just to convert with classes about catholocism - so plenty of time to deconstruct if your teachers are helping you with it, and not many do. this was my mom's issue with the directors of our last church's rcia program that she volunteered for and part of why our familt switched churches

Once you are baptized in a Catholic Church, you are Catholic. Unless that excommunicate you, you are still Catholic. That’s why there are Catholic agnostics. Catholic atheists.
