I got bundles of fresh sage from grocery store. I wrapped it with twine. Left it to dry into a blunt. It was used for smoke cleansing and worked fine. Rare plants are not needed.

What's fun about having a new account is I can comment on older videos again 😂 In seriousness, though, the first book to come to mind is The Shamanic Temple of Witchcraft: Shadows, Spirits, and the Healing Journey by Christopher Penczak in a section talking about making your own smudging bundles... But I don't recall if it was *white* sage or not.

And on top of everything else most people don't realize that not all indigenous people used white sage. Here on the East Coast where white sage doesn't naturally grow.They used cedar

I have literally seen "smudge bundles" with "white sage" & it was garden sage. One time I saw one that I think it was bay leaves, but it definitely wasn't sage.🤣

So I agree with your points, but white sage in Cunninghams Encyclopedia is under Sagebush, not sage! It's on the next page (I hope this isn't coming across as rude I just wanted to mention it).

I think ppl do know that not all sage is white sage but there's a large conflation with wicca + the new age movement that popularized its use (so assume they're same thing ∴ wicca = using white sage)
