@jsstansel: Just because a person doesn't have a large following on their personal account, or never even posts at all, doesn't mean they aren't a highly skilled social media manager. And on the flip side, just because someone is an influencer, content creator, or has a strong personal brand with a large following--doesn't necessarily mean they are qualified to be a social media manager. While the skill sets do have some overlap--the two roles are actually very different in practice. Honestly, as someone who does both, I'll tell you that it's a heck of a lot easier to build a following for a personal account than it is to run social media for a brand.
