My daughter had em for a few years. She wanted hers combed out as well and we did just that. However. Locs are a combination of dead hair and natural hair. She actually lost a lot of hair.

watch then thin point will be a problem when u get more hang time n coming them out will make it go to where ur hair is strongest all that will either drop or be ripped off if u domt take care of it

I lost so much hair combing mines out. I had them for 5 years and they were down my back. Now my kids call me bald headed. I regret it everyday 😩
