My husband is Pakistani and I hated desi food at first. Could not handle spice and also I didn’t like the look of some meat lol. It took me slowly eating things like for aloo ghoost I would just eat the aloo with a little soup until now I just want the ghoost lol. It takes times to adjust yourself but you have to be open to it. Now I cook and eat more spicy/desi food than my husband. I love paya lol

As a woman, I understand where she’s coming from. men will eat whatever is put in front of them. It doesn’t matter what it look smells or if it has a weird texture. The classiest thing to do is to eat around it or just eat sides. Most importantly it is solely up to the mom to make sure recipes are being passed down to generations.
