Y'all out here buying tickets THEN putting in a request. It's the other way around. What if you work in retail and everyone went on vacation during Black Friday week? Bosses have to deny time off sometimes. People have overlapping vacations, issues of understaffing. It happens.

I used my PTO and a couple days before, I was told no one picked up my shift (ONE SHIFT) and that I’d have to work or it would be grounds for termination. I told them if they want to fire me, they can, but I’m taking my REQUESTED DAY OFF. Still not fired 🤣🤷♀️
