Sometimes the multi thousand page binder falls onto the floor and the pages get out of sequence. I have had them admit to this.

when I paper filed my 23 this year in person at IRS they made a copy and threw the original in a cartoonishly large pile of other returns

I sent it paper amended returns, certified mail twice once before Covid and once after Covid and they never found them.

Daily! They don’t have forms that were e-filed WITH the return? Arkansas DFA losing returns that were e-filed… 🤦🏼♀️

I was deliriously happy to not be working in tax this year. Calling them and getting anyone who knew what they’re doing was a crapshoot at best when they weren’t firing a boatload of agents
