You are so beautiful... without make-up. With make-up you 'd be fantastic.

Replying to @J_boogie 50 Chicks: $118.50 Feed: 17lbs per birds so 850lbs for 50 birds $14.75 per 50lbs of 21% unmedicated chick starter from my local feed mill $250.75 Chick grit $8 Average finished weight per bird is 9lbs 8lbs for females and 10lbs for males Total for birds and feed comes to $7.55 per bird reoccurring costs $1.19 per lb Time: I spend on average 12 minutes twice daily for 10 weeks raising the birds to processing age This process includes feeding/watering and when older moving the chicken tractor twice daily I process the birds myself in two batches of 25 birds. This process for one person from set up to cleanup and vacuum packing/freezing takes almost exactly 4 hours. This is roughly 9.5 minutes per bird. The more birds you process over time the faster and easier it gets both physically and psychologically Variable costs: Chick Feeders about $16 each Chick Waterers about $17 each Chicken feeder $50 (there are much less expensive options though) Chicken waterer $25 in supplies Brooder: ranges from as inexpensive as a reptile bulb and a large bin with substrate to custom brooders Coop/Chicken Tractor ranges from free from a resale page/self built to a purchased one, so this is hard to estimate. Mine cost $325 to build and I’ve had it for 4 years and raised hundreds of birds in it Processing equipment: Fillet knife (most already have) Cutting board (most already have) Table (most already have) Cone (you don’t need to purchase one. My first one was literally a 2 gallon nursery pot with a hole cut in the bottom Vacuum bags $8 for 50 birds (optional) Containers/buckets to sort while processing Cooler with ice to chill birds (most already have) Pot to scald and a way to heat the water I use a large pot over an outdoor propane heater/grill like commonly used in turkey fryer setups Plucker (definitely optional) $400 Gloves (optional but recommended) Freezer space! #growyourownfood #homesteadlife #harvest #cornishcross #pasturedpoultry
