@ssecc: Gnocchi is an unsung carb loading super hero 🦸♀️ Honestly, I love the stuff and it is a brilliant source of carbohydrate 👏🏻 It’s soft on the stomach and the gluten free versions are a great option for those who need it too 🚀 During a carb load, you’re aiming for 10-12g/kg/bw of carbohydrate, this is a lot but a portion of gnocci can pack in over 50g of carbs which is a real win for a pre-long run dinner. Putting it in the air-fryer to make tater tots is my new obsession. 180 degrees for 9 mins and if you want them extra crispy, do another minute on the ‘crisp’ setting! I could happily eat them straight out of the fryer like chips but building into a meal with some veg and a protein source gives you everything you need for a balanced plate that will help fuel you up and support your training. that looks delicious! I usually make it with diced chicken, coating everything in tomato puree, fry till crispy, and then add creme freche and spinach. its incredible!

omg love roasted gnocchi. also my two favourite gnocchi recipes at the moment are: Nadiya's chicken peanut gnocchi tray bake, and Buns tuscan gnocchi chicken (but creme fraiche instead of cream)

Hi Sian, do fast acting carbs (eg a high carb drink like Tailwind) work as part of a carb load or should you stick to slow acting carbs like rice/pasta? Thanks
