@jazminnxoxo: It’s been a long couple of months, Jax is currently on a 50 day course of oral steroids due to the constant flare of his skin - I know some people will not agree with this but Jax’s itch is all based internally and we have tried various routes to try and calm this down. He will be starting methotrexate in hopefully May, he just needs to have his second dose of the chicken pox vaccine and then 2 weeks after we can start this. I’m really hoping this helps, this was a hard decision to make as a family but we feel this is the only thing we can do for Jax to be comfortable and not constantly itching and to help with concentrate better. His itch is so upsetting to watch as it distracts him so much and really hurts his skin, trying to explain to a 4 year old to itch on top of his clothes isn’t easy and he gets just as frustrated.
