@jii.jiiii: Step 1 to a smooth sailing day in this profession: SET THE EXPECTATIONS! Every day, we’ve got to update our minds and our space—so it starts with the agenda. Today was Egg Drop Day in Physics! My students have been working on their devices for about a week now, and I was genuinely blown away by their creativity. We tested from two different heights—some designs soared, some splattered—but we had a blast and everyone showed off the skills they’ve been building all year long. After a quick math break (and some much-needed grading), it was time for my next Physics class to launch their masterpieces—again, so proud of the effort and innovation they brought to the table. Second half of the day: Precalc time! Yes, we’re diving into trig—Law of Cosines today (insert dramatic sigh… SIKE!) My students actually love trig—and honestly, so do I. We’re working our way through it as a team, and they really nailed this lesson. Huge shout out to them for staying sharp and not getting dizzy with all these formulas! Wrapped up the day with my second precalc class, then straight to office hours for grading and helping students one-on-one. After that? Clock out. Sprint to the car. Go home.
