I studied Japanese in uni and was using Duolingo simply so I didn't lose the language. But I quit after the AI lessons got so many errors—grammatical errors misspellings...

from a capitalist perspective, it's not a bad play if they have an actual play. if u know ur future is limited due to tech development, it's best to pivot before obsolescence.

AI has already made Duolingo obsolete. Programmer here and we use AI to dynamically translate al the content that our web site collects and publish web site that way in multiple languages.
