for all the ted and robin haters out there your not getting the point of the whole show. the whole series was about unconditional and indefinite love. teds kids litteraly tell u at the end “dad we know u love aunt robin why would u tell us in explicit detail abt her and and only mention mum a lil bit at the end” the reason why they worked out is cos they both got what they wanted in life. ted got kids and a picket fence dream and robin pursued her career and got her many dogs back. it shows that they weren’t wrong for eachother, they just had to pursue their dreams before it was too late

The way I see it is Tracy was with the love of her life at first (that dead dude I don’t remember his name), then she met her soulmate second (Ted). Ted was with his soulmate first (Tracy) and got with the love of his life second (Robin). Tracy and Ted went through similar experiences but opposite way round
