PRAYING I have an easier time round two. Bc my first had a terrible latch and I exclusively pumped and under supplied for 11 months 🥲 so we still had to supplement

I remember sobbing at my midwife appointment going through how hard it was to nurse my first. We made it, but it was a month of pumping and struggles and trying. They let me cry and talk it out for an hour!!! And afterwards just smiled gently at me and said: this is a different baby. It can be totally different this time. And it was!! I know that’s not everyone’s experience. But SAME advice. It can be different!! Don’t box yourself in based off of your first, so many new beautiful different things can happen ✨✨

I exclusively breastfed my first daughter for 2 years but the first 8months felt like torture… turns out she had tongue and lip ties…. My second daughters latch at first was also so painful but has soon as she had her tongue, lip and cheek ties released I noticed a difference instantly. I don’t exclusively breastfeed her still though and I’ve found it so much easier this time round but it’s been 3 years straight of breastfeeding and I’m exhausted

I felt the EXACT same way about exclusively pumping with my first. I had the same mind set as you while expecting baby #2. We are 3 months in and nursing is going well, thankfully. The spectra pump triggers me as well..when I do pump, I’ve been using my Momcozy pump. Boone Trove was super convenient and fits in your bra!

EBF & I love the Hakka better than the boon bc I don’t enjoy always wearing a bra. I have been looking into getting a MUU pump! Very interesting take on a manual pump. Worth checking out!

My first experience was horrible. Ended up on formula like 4 months in. Second baby breastfed until 10 months and then pumped. Third has been on formula since the beginning basically

Coming from SLP/CBS- the haaka may cause inflammation at the area it’s suctioned too, so to prevent damage, the catchers are safer! Just want you to know & not have issues 🫶

i 100% agree!! i only lasted 3 months exclusively pumping with my first it was SOOO hard!! and i was such an under supplier. with my second i’ve been ebf for 7 months now! so much easier this time

I love the Elvis catch milk shells- if you do move wrong sometimes the parts come apart and that’s a mess but I love them!

On my 3rd baby and i agree… i will not ONLY pump… thankfully shes a good nurser. I LOVE the hand pump when im engorged and the shells that go in your bra to catch letdown. Both helped ensure to 1/2

With my first he wouldn’t latch and I got drops when I pumped, had to switch to formula which killed my mental health

I pumped for 12 months for my twins (they were micropremies and too tiny to latch). It was insane work. And honestly didn’t go great (supplemented with formula) but I was stubborn. 😅
