I couldn’t believe my luck at Goodwill😱 I’m always looking for quality pieces when I’m thrifting and so much of what I reach for and buy are pieces that reminds me of brands I love (like DOEN, Sezane, and Christy Dawn). Often times people think thrifting means you just buy outdated and unfashionable clothes but that’s not true! When you take the time to thoughtfully curate and collect pieces over multiple thrift trips you start to build a wardrobe that fits your style aesthetic inspired by popular brands, but not breaking your budget! Things I look for when thrifting: - quality fabrics like cotton and wool! - depending on the price & style I sometimes allow myself to buy something that is a 50/50 blend of rayon or viscose with cotton - quality knits like wool and cashmere sweaters - I always try to consider my color season (bright spring) and try to pick pieces that fit that palette - if something isn’t totally my style I think about if I could alter it to fit my preferences (like the red blouse in this video I’m going to crop and turn into short puff sleeves) - I always look for quality brands if I can find them!
