Worthy study. Women are 2 to 8 times more likely to have an ACL injury, than men!!

Absolutely, the research on women’s ACL injuries needs way more attention. It’s crucial for progress.

It absolutely needs studies but it’s definitely not going to because of periods and hormones. It’s definitely a body structure thing and how women train.

The reason is because women have weaker core strength then men, so we don’t have as better control of whst we can do. I know this from experience!

i genuinely believe, as a biomedical engineer at georgia tech, women would have to be found as independent research results to be taken seriously in a medical study despite the corresponding relations

I do think this is a very necessary study because it seems women injure their acl at a much higher rate

my only thing is that, that's a basketball/sports thing. Major injuries happen at the high level (any really) and stars are more likely to injury based on workload and time played

Acl injuries are more prone to happen to women because of weak knees due to body preparing for child birth

Research is already starting on this! Our lasticity changes during month making us more prone to ligament injuries. Some articles also suggests it’s a women’s nutrition regarding vitamins

Yes! When I tore my ACL in 04 the doctors were starting to discuss the theory of correlation. Why has it taken 21 years to move this research forward?

FIFA announced this week they’ll be doing research on connections between ACL tears and periods! No one has wanted to do research because of womens hormones impact all the things
