Literally impossible for tariffs to being back manufacturing while also reducing the national debt, because if manufacturing comes back there will be no imports to collect tariffs on.

Trump always liars, his words change day by day, today he say A, tomorrow he could say B. Total export of finished products and industrial parts/raw materials to the US represents about 3% of China's GDP (3% total is not a problem for China). In the next few months, US industries will definitely face major problems because they will not get raw material input from China so they will stop production, this will result in massive layoffs. China stopped importing grains, pork, beef, airplanes etc, all of which are huge losses for the US economy. The US should know its place and stop its brutal actions of tariffs.
