@waqinprogress: On our last day in KL, Zeti told me she wanted to have a kopitiam breakfast! Since I was the itinerary planner, I remembered adding a kopitiam near our hotel on my gmaps list. It wasn’t a touristy spot. In fact, I only found it because I zoomed in on gmpas to look for local restaurants around us. We woke up pretty early and walked about 500 meters to Mei Sin Kopitiam. When we arrived, it was still empty, just a few people there, mostly local elderly folks enjoying their morning. When we ordered, the server was a really sweet lady. She asked us where we were from, and when we said Jakarta, she smiled and said she’s Indonesian too! Then she pointed at another man and said, “He’s from Indonesia as well!” The experience was a little different from other kopitiams I’ve been to. She handed us a silver jar with hot water, and the eggs were already inside.
