When re screening stuff in frames especially if it’s like the screens that go infront of windows we do screen porches with them but if stretched to tight you end up bowing the frame but if you ever have todo any glass work or screen stuff and got questions that’s what I do

Use a heat gun or blow dryer to the screen material and it will tighten up

Tape down the corners of the screen to hold it tight then just roll the spline in

Rubber stuff is called spline, and it’s easier to roll spline in those doors with a plastic wheel! It won’t cut the screen! 🤙 also if you stretch it, it shrinks a lot

Hate doing screens, they make a high strength mesh for them that’s specifically designed for pet claws, I’ve used it and never had an issue

i use to fix screen at ace hardware for many years it’s actually best for it not to be too tight it helps with it breaking less. I also recommend not using the same strip of the rubber cut it 1/2

For the spline cut it at the corners to make it easier and it will make the screen tighter and look better then rounding the corners (I do this for work)
