Hello 👋 Server/bartender here for 33 years: Here's the deal, we actually perfer that the guest clean up most of the "droppings", at least the bigger pieces. It does make extra work for us, ESPECIALLY on holidays that involve children (ie. Easter, Mother's Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas etc). We are TOO BUSY. Not to mention large parties with children, oh lord, the destruction I have seen! 😐 Most of us don't mind a quick zip with the sweeper, but, please, please pick up the major, bigger stuff. Thank you ❤️

No, we leave it on the floor. We always left it on the floor. I used to try to pick it up, but it was a hot mess. I would apologize and leave a bigger tip.

As a server for 4 years dealing with kids I personally tell mothers don’t worry about it because I have seen moms get on there hands and knees no babe I got you we have to clean it anyways.🥰❤️

As a former server, look into splat mats!Biodegradable,disposable mats that you put directly under bubbers high chair, then easily roll up and dispose after the meal. The server will love you and everyone around you will be impressed by such a considerate gesture.

I always cleaned up after my kid at the end, and as someone who also works in food service... we're just hoping you clean up a bit before you leave. We love watching the babies play and eat.

I used to pick up the floor on our way out- every single time- the employees would stop me & tell me they’ve got it. I still did it everytime.
