The second reason Happy Gilmore 2 was just a cash grab is because it basically forces the new generation and nostalgia fans to watch the first movie. So not only are they profiting off part 2 but the callbacks and flashbacks make people want to pull up the old movie to reminisce or see what it was all about. Of course this isn’t anything new in film but the amount of callbacks and flashbacks were absurd. It’s like when an author writes a book, and than the next book they write is all about the success of the first book. Happy Gilmore 2 was very disappointing and takes away the magic of film, but I’ll let Adam Sandler have this one because at the end of the day he’s given us so much gold that he’s allowed to cash grab every decade or so. #happygilmore2 #gilmore #adamsandler #movies #hollywood #markering #cameos
