I’ve been a Sanrio girl since 1981. I was so lucky my older brother spoiled me and get me whatever I wanted. In the 90s, I spend $250 on a Pochacco comforter. I STILL HAVE IT! Bury me with it! 🤪

I’m 43 years old and I still have a mini keroppi backpack I can’t let go of it because that was the biggest item from Sanrio I was able buy. I had pencils and also I still have a pencil box.

It also wasn’t so easily accessible as it is now! Like Sanrio is in everything now, back in the day you had to go to the special stores that had it. Morning Glory doesn’t even exist anymore😢

I lived in Japan in the 80s so I was surrounded by Hello Kitty everything! Moved to the US and I loved going to the Sanrio store, Pekkle, Pochacco and Tuxedo Sam were my faves. I still have my stuff😄

There was a Sanrio Store in Tijuana Mexico, a pencil was $20 pesos which is like $1.02 dlls and thats all we could afford or the little packs of gum😫
