Mercedes-Benz G500 from LEGO Technic line! Set #42177 was released August 1st 2024 and contains 2891 pieces. Price: 249.99$/249.99€/1099.99PLN. Set is designed by Milan Reindl - designer of previous cool Technic sets like Land Rover Defender which is one of my favorite sets from past few years. What I like: - model is good looking. Shapes are correct and without any doubts we see which real car is it. Without any doubts it’ll keep a place on my shelves forever. - new parts - it’s great that we got new tires! Also new axle and pin connector with 168.75 degrees angle seems to be really useful creating proper shape of the doors. - functions, especially one rare - lock of back differential. Suspension works perfectly too! The gearbox with 4x4 drive engagement was also already in the Land Rover, but here it was improved - building experience is really nice. 20 bags, but it was quite fast and nice process What I don’t like: - Delay in the work of the engine pistons. This is related to collecting all the clearances on the gears of the gearbox. The first time after running across the table I was afraid that I had made a mistake somewhere in the construction and that was why the engine did not work, but it turned out that I had to run it a second time to move the pistons.
