There's a difference between beating your child and abusing them... Even in the Bible it says kids need discipline.... I should know the difference between abuse and actually disciplining your kid from something that they know they're doing wrong If they don't listen The first time... we're all parents we know how they get... They learn Things how we teach them too...sometimes nothing wrong with discipline. as long as it's not abuse

Your first statement is absolutely absurd. Spanking a child is not bad. Spare the rod, spoil the child. I don’t automatically spank every single time but I absolutely do spank my child on occasion. Asking adults if the want to be hit opens a door that I feel you aren’t ready to have. Too many may tell you yes. 😅

I’m not into gentle parenting, but definitely not a child abuser either. “To each their own” 💔 … that’s enabling behavior

My favorite quote" children aren't giving you a hard time, they are having a hard time."So during this hard time they shouldn't be hit.

Instead of telling parents who discipline their children to scroll why don’t you invite them to stay to learn about a different way to parent. Y’all be so quick to push certain people who don’t fit in a certain group/category to move along. Teach don’t disregard.

This post could have been made with out you calling out and rejecting basically mothers who are still trying to heal themselves. also most of the time they have been told multiple times very nicely.

Instead of telling people who do it to scroll maybe try and teach them something new. It’s worth learning.

Proverbs 13:24 look it up. Also do you think parents who pop a thigh don’t get to the root of the issue? Have you ever even taken a parenting class?. A pop to the thigh after multiple redirection then coupled with love and a talk as to why and make sure they understand is not bad parenting. General parenting also comes with issues just as much as parents who pop a thigh. Don’t say you respect then belittle other parenting styles.

i have spanked my daughter multiple times. i want to stop. i fully acknowledge it is never her fault and always mine. my lack of control over myself and me not knowing what to do when i feel ive exhausted all options. i wish there were more resources for parents like me who want to stop, but dont know how. i was spanked as a kid, it feels like the default.

people also need to learn the difference between gentle parenting and not being a parent at all. that's abuse too!

Spilling soda. It was a accident. I spill drinks all the time. Ur child isn’t perfect. Parents shouldn’t pass their trauma and anger to their kids 😁😁😁

People who “discipline” theire children doesn’t mean, we are abusing them, or smacking them around. No, we find different ways other than “hitting and smacking them around “ so TO TEACH YOUR OWN. don’t psychoanalyze other parents in their parenting styles in the way you’re thinking. Yes, it’s about patience and communication with them. Discipline comes in many different forms. It doesn’t mean, you are abusing them. I believe kids need to learn respect and if I want to parent my child old school then I will. Doesn’t mean, I’m abusing them. You can try the gentle parenting technique and what works best for you, may not work for others. But it doesn’t mean, we are hitting our children because, they can’t “communicate” with us.

and since we do that, we never have to pop, because they know so they usually keep really good behavior. we don’t pop for not talking or having bad feelings or emotions.
