From what I’m seeing it sounds like a Ponzi scheme. She makes events to get money for what she’s owed from prior events. The October 2025 event was probably to make up for AML ahead of time.

You and the other authors would benefit from arranging legal advice to take the organiser to court. That way if you're not reimbursed, you can apply to the courts to have her assets liquidated to pay.
