I think light always had the potential to become kira, its just that the death note gave him that power. he orginally did it for good reasons but lost himself to corruption and a god complex. i love the last episode cause it shows that at the end of the day he was just human

I still fully believe Light was in the right until the end. But he lost focus instead of criminals he started killing those who had info and a lead on him and lost himself as a “god” he stopped doing what was right

I think light probably did help the worlds problems alot. The society that Kira built was probably the closest to perfect a world could be. But it was hard to sympathize with him near the end when he stripped himself of all his emotion to the point he gambled the life of his own sister and basically got his father killed. I love light and seeing the part where he wasnt kira for a bit was very sweet. I just wish he kept his humanity and didnt ruin his family over it. Raye penber and namomi situation was messed up too
