For sure! Governing as a ‘conservative’ is WAY WAY easier than governing as a progressive. They don’t try to fix problems. They are that neglectful allows people to thrive on their own.

I was thinking of this a bit while watching Andor. My memory of it is fuzzy (God knows where my Star Wars RPG stuff ended up) but I remembered some of it. It's where we first heard of Ghorman, IIRC.

There was also the idea that the Empire needed to turn to outside contractors (bounty hunters) because the loyalty requirements pushed skilled people out.

My problem with Star Wars RPGs is they seem to fall back on cyberpunk tropes to pad things out. Did we really need manufacturer names for everything?😅

I’d want the compnor show to be the hogans heroes version of Star Wars (as cheesy as it was) the nutsee’s inherent corruption, fear of losing their rank/life, narcissistic actions were exploitable for the protagonists
