Mix Lye & Oils Slowly pour the ash-water mixture into the melted oils while stirring constantly. Keep stirring until the mixture thickens into a soft, pudding-like paste. 4. Cook & Cure Continue heating gently for 30–60 minutes while stirring. Remove from heat and let it sit until cool. Cut into chunks and let it cure for 2–3 weeks (this makes it gentler on skin). ✅ Tips Always use wood, stainless steel, or heat-safe glass – never aluminum (it reacts with lye). You can add lavender oil, neem oil, or tea tree oil at the end for fragrance and extra skin benefits.
