This election showed you can paint a picture of someone that is so far from the truth but as long as you sell it well the public will buy it. Labor have a magnificent political machine and they do w great job of tearing down a person. They did it to Abbot, Morrison and now Dutton in federal politics and they have done it at tge state level

labor also won with extremely low first preference votes ,basically they won with the same number of votes the Labor party lost with only a few elections ago. a lot more votes have gone to outside of the 2 main partys and it looks like they've had the lowest ever voter turnout with something like only 77% of voters voting despite it being mandatory.
