Unregulated capitalism, private land ownership, high taxes on lower/middle class makes it nearly impossible to create 3rd space public businesses to build community.

We don’t have many spaces to go do things without paying. We also spend all our energy on work and chores.

Maybe if we were paid better we could actually go places and meet people. But most of us work too much. And your not allowed to date coworkers (well it's frowned upon and ain't worth the risk).

You don't get community at work in church.Of course we don't nobody ever has. There was a time in this country when we had public pools , public museums , public parks and more that needs to come back

The suburbs are toxic for community engagement! The whole pull into the garage and ignore everyone! I live in a walkable city with walkable surrounding towns but these car oriented areas are terrible.

Honestly, basic empathy seems to be a lacking skill in far too many people these days. It’s easy to become jaded, isolated, and distrustful. It’s required harddd work for me to find a good circle.

Feel like most people just ride on the cards they were dealt. And while there’s no shame in that, my point is that if you were dealt cards that aren’t good, forging your own lane is lonely.
