I think one of the worst experiences is having verbal shutdowns but not being able to explain why I do to anyone because i haven’t been diagnosed (not at all my fault I haven’t been tested yet btw) and when I try to use nonverbal communication (writing, pointing, etc) they get mad at me for it :/

i was diagnosed at 3, it was hidden from me. level 3 is what they said i was. high support needs tho is what i say. its not being quirky. i cant live without a caregiver

It honestly sucks so much. Ppl forget that autism isnt “quirky” or “silly”. Ts genuinely debilitates me and messes with daily life. I accepted myself a while ago but a part of me wishes I was “normal”

I hate that autism isn't a thing we are taught about in school. I know A LOT about autism. and might have it myself, I'm being checked for it right now! I also have a cousin who has autism and he doesn't even live with his parents. he's such a sweetheart but he struggles so much
