@dbpodcast: This week, Bunnie welcomes Dr. Sarah Hensley, PhD in Social Psychology, relationship coach, and resident love doc. Dr. Sarah breaks down attachment styles, the difference between healthy and toxic dynamics, and why we tend to repeat destructive relationship cycles
Is there an anxious avoidant? I swear I use to be anxious attached but over the years I now avoid him, everyone.

I seriously don’t know why this stuff isn’t taught and highlighted more in school. There is such an emphasis on core subjects (as there should be) but we also need to be teaching kids their attachment

Anxious attachment is literally an addiction. The withdraws are insanely intense and uncomfortable I can’t stand it. You spiral into this horrible toxic cycle. Everything she said is sooo true

See… this is why I always panicked at the thought of parenting. Every little thing affects the kid. My life messed me up all kinds of ways. That’s a lot of damn pressure! I have two kids now and still

My husband is so co-dependent. I am is whole world. My friends are his friends, he has no hobbies or outside interests, only works until noon, then comes straight home. The only thing we have to talk about is what I do all day, and he wants to hear every detail. I love him dearly, he’s a good man, but it’s exhausting! I thought it was great in the beginning of our relationship, because he always had time for me, now I know why. Young ladies, find a man with a life of his own!

no, having your significant other there for you during an emotional crisis is just that. A man being there for his woman. could never be co-dependcy. what you just said is we have to self satisfy during sadness or we are co-dependent. it is actually a healthy relationship.
