I‘m a Dutch in Germany. If I need just one cup of tea, I boil a small amount of water. If I need more, I‘d boil more water. It‘s called efficiency. 🤷🏼

I'm Polish and I do the same unknowingly. The difference is that if I boil water for two cups, there is enough water for exactly 2 cups. And no, I don't measure water.
