So many games are meant to be played on a crt. Oblivion is “modern” but when it launched (say if I’m wrong), the 360 largely shipped with non-hdmi cables. Some games just look better on a crt.

I was so siked when I got my first flat screen I could finally read the tiny words. GTA was a struggle on a crt I couldn’t read anything

in OG Oblivion if you played on a CRT in standard resolution, it became hard to read any of the books. had to play in HD or on a very large CRT to be able to read anything
