Working out is one decision. I just have to choose to go. Eating in a deficit is CONSTANT choices. All the fucking time. It's so much more work

It’s so tough. Thinking about averages over linear “forward and backward” progress can help. That’s also why step counts help (relatively neutral impact on appetite)

I'm at the end of month 4 of a 2200 calorie deficit (started at 464 currently 399.) 3 biggest helps are being sober, frozen meals, and caffeine.

I fully agree with all this. A 200-300 calorie deficit would be a bit easier though. I find I can keep a big one for some time but I’m more likely to binge and ruin it than with a smaller deficit.

Idk Preston, a healthy diet is really just what everyone should be eating. I can’t imagine not eating a healthy diet everyday. This really isn’t that hard, it’s like basic hygiene. Everyone should know this

I actually can’t fathom this issue. Calorie deficit is EASY (I used to have Ana), eating and exercising is crazyyy hard. Not even psychologically (anymore), logistically, financially, and physically

Yeah so I started changing only 1 thing a week for a year and if I couldn't sustain it for a week I gave up on that or changed the goal to be more realistic. Once I sustained a change for a month,

Anecdotally, I used to ride my bicycle 2 to 3 hours a day, 6 days a week, and I calculated what I ate daily was 8K calories a day minimum, and I lost 15 pounds in 4 months.

It’s so tough! Finding alternatives to the treats I liked helped a lot though if you have a lil room at the end of the day. Yasso bars and Joyride gummy candy are my favs
