GOD KEEPS ON INSISTING ON YOU.🥹 This is your second time fighting cancer, and I have never witnessed a strength more unshakable than what you have displayed. In moments where I’ve thought, “If it were me, I would have given up,” you stood firm. You held on to your faith when it would have made sense to let go. And walking this journey with you has changed me…forever. It has increased my compassion. It has increased my dependence on God. It has increased my patience. It has increased my empathy. Beyond everything you’ve taught me as a parent and a mother, beyond the love you’ve given that has shaped the woman I am today you have poured so much into my life that I never imagined the day would come where I’d pour it back into you. But here we are. And I am honored. You are so strong. You are so brave. There is no other woman I would ever imagine as my mother. You’ve taught me endurance, unwavering faith, and what it means to depend wholly on God. And whatever He is doing in and through us, my prayer is that it brings glory to Jesus Christ. Yes, we are facing this battle for the second time, but Jesus still reigns. Cancer does not reign. The enemy does not reign. Darkness does not reign. The mercy of God prevails. I am so grateful that we’re celebrating your 75th birthday. Last year, I wasn’t sure we’d see this day, but by His grace, you’re here. And it’s beautiful to see how our merciful, insistent, loving God keeps saying: “Not yet.” The journey is hard, but you are a conqueror. And I love you more than I can say. This season, where I get to pour back into you what you’ve so selflessly given me, it’s sacred. Witnesssing such vulnerability - that when you don’t show up I have nobody but when you show up you’re my everything. I am so grateful that God has trusted me with this assignment. And I pray God keeps strengthening you, and that when you come home, it will be with joy and dancing. Because trust me this story will not end the way the enemy intended. It will end the way God promised: with life, and life abundant. Lord Jesus, thank You for confidence in Your name. For grace that is always enough. For peace that surpasses understanding. For the victory we walk in, even in the shaking. Thank You for loving us, for covering us in Your blood, for seeing us. Mom, I love you. May God continue to satisfy you with long life.
