@justinveenema: “She gets real emotional sometimes” 🥺 Roxy the Chow Chow was totally in her own world—soaking in all the smells, the people, and the spring air. I met her and her human, Aris, at the Cherry Blossom Gardens in Burnaby. He told me they walk this area every day, but because this was arguably the busiest moment of the entire season - Roxy was a little distracted lol. There was soooo many people there that day! 😅 So I figured it would be a good time to test out my new @Viltrox 35mm 1.2 LAB lens. Quick camera tip - the lower your aperture number (like f/1.2 in this case), the more light gets into the lens, and the shallower the depth of field gets (aka, the blurrier the background). That came in clutch in this instance - because even though there were lots of people behind Aris and Roxy, I was still able to blur them out and keep the focus on these two models. Aris is also into photography—he mostly shoots landscapes and sunsets—but he was kind enough to let me take a few portraits of Roxy (and a few of them together).
