I prefer having the company owning the assets, a Trust must own 100% shares of the company. All children myself and wife become beneficiaries of the trust, then make use of the conduit principle.

Inheriting a business without organisational knowledge is a downhill spiral. money doesn't cover fundamental knowledge deemed necessary for the organisation to exist. start looking at ISO 9001 to maintain that organisational knowledge with succession plans.

Would the following option work: Several different companies that manages assets like property, vehicles and machinery. One or two operating companies leasing assets from sub companies. Trust is shareholder of all companies and family is trust beneficiaries?🤔🤔

Shareholders of the company may not necessarily want to do business with the wife n kids. Also if business gets bad they risk losing everything. Trust protects from all of that
