I agree with her, the question is so important because we really don’t have great thinkers anymore. This is a result of defunding the arts, which has led to societal regression (the rise of conservative ideology). We have lost the “great” thinkers.

as a teacher, the death of thinking is a result of the death of literacy. i teach 11th graders. they can’t read. my older sister has been teaching since 2017? 2018? Those kids couldn’t read either

Also , a lot of her fan demographic and also something about gen z is aesthetics are one of their main vessels for being interesting, we favor appearance and using terms like niche and esoteric because they dress and have somewhat unconventional interests but it’s never really that unconventional lol
