Many don't understand the point of the tax. The tax is to stop greedy millionaires buying up land, pumping up the cost of land, and using it to dodge taxes. By making the tax, the greedy will sell their land, prices will plummet, and farmers will pay less as a result.

Some comments are unbelievable, farming is long unsociable hours with tight margins, with the likes of james dyson buying land as a tax dodge dosent mean all farmers are same , most are struggling

Gift it to your kids or pay a reduced inheritance tax (which most people won’t actually be eligible for due to the value and allowances) - farmers coped with IHT years ago, they can cope again.

Please support our British Farmers. Stop the family farm Tax. Do not throw our farmers under the bus. You are destroying farming in the UK with solar panels, importing beef from the USA our home grown produce is dwindling. We will not be a self sufficient country. We need to be independent, without British Farmers we will be so vulnerable
