You forgot to mention TEACHERS DO SOME PARENTING EVERYDAY, not that we want to but we have to help the kids regulate emotionally so we can teach!

In NY you get free Healthcare as a teacher.... also after year 5 you make alot... move to the right of the pay scale.

teachers are paid and contracted for 10 months of service per year. our pay is either dispersed so we get paid over the summer or we only get paid during the 10 months but see more in a check.

The amount of money teachers and paras spend out of pocket on the kids for projects, snacks, reward and activities to keep the class interesting. Plus we create a safe space for them to vent
