Omg yes! This! I've experienced it myself a couple of times now. There comes a time that you no longer see your partner as an individual external to you, someone with their own world and mind, that you are attracted to and want to be a part of. And this is exactly what happens in the beginning of the courtship. If they become a limb of yours, then there is no attraction or wanting to discover the other person. And it kills everything

Encourage your partner to keep their friendships and continue their hobbies. I send my husband and his buddies golf tournament fliers for example. We all need our villages.

But it always felt like he was jealous whenever I’d talk to other people. I play video games and if I ever was talking to guys during a match he’d say I was flirting. I moved in with him away from my family so digital was my only connection to friends and family. Then when he and I would do stuff together which I always wanted to do, it was like he wasn’t there. It felt so alone to feel alone with him.

Needed to hear this! I’m a year into a new relationship after a 12-year toxic marriage…it’s going MUCH better & part of it is how awesome our separate hobbies are and we have things we do together. ❤️
