Fun fact! Pink was originally a colour for boys, and blue was for girls. Blue was seen as more gentle, and pink, being a variation of red, as more strong. I think

Letting your kids be themselves makes them feel safe around you. I had a blue room all my life but that didn’t make me queer. It was just my favorite color.

I had a pretty neutral room growing up, green walls and mostly Lego. Not a lot of either feminine or masculine toys. My brother was arguably more feminine. And we are both sure of our identity. 🤷♀️

More context of the family it’s a two mom family, I’m surprise that, that fact wasn’t brought up. The boy was a twin brother and an older SISTER

Pink also used to be a masculine color and blue was considered feminine, same with high heels. Men also wore makeup, dresses and fancy garments.

it's always "it's the parents doing" and never "oh, the kid just likes pink" because they just assume kids don't have a sense of personhood and have genuine interests that can differ from their parents 😭
