READ MORE 👇 👇 Cattle Drive! Old Florida lives on... Cattle drives have a long and rich history in Florida, dating back to the 1500s when Spanish explorers introduced livestock to the peninsula. The Florida Cracker Trail: This trail, established by 1850, was a crucial route for cattle drives, stretching 120 miles from Fort Pierce to Bradenton. It provided the only dry passage across Florida at the time, allowing cattlemen to reach coastal areas for transport and sale. These early cattle, known as "Cracker cows," were well-suited to Florida's warm and humid climate. Cowboys had to be extra tough to keep those doggies movin'. Cattle drives could last for weeks or even months, traversing challenging terrains like marshes and dense scrub woods, and facing harsh Storms... and even worse, mosquitos. Today, the tradition lives on. Cowboys still push the herd down the trails! Special "Howdy Do" to the cattlemen (and ladies) from @PentecostRanch See you on the trails!
